ABOUT ALAIRO

Alairo is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lone Star Communications, created with a singular focus: helping hospitals address the most pressing challenges in today’s patient care environment.

Several years ago, Lone Star recognized that healthcare organizations were struggling with a growing set of clinical and operational pressures: Alarm fatigue, staff workload, patient falls, and fragmented technology systems. To respond, Lone Star formed Alairo and began making a series of strategic investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. Each was purposefully designed to come together as part of a unified, integrated platform that could support clinicians where care actually happens.

A critical foundation of Alairo’s approach comes from deep, firsthand clinical insight. Over the years, Lone Star built a team of approximately 30 clinical application specialists who worked side by side with hospital staff. Through regular engagement with nurses and care teams, this group gathered real-world feedback on workflow challenges, safety concerns, and barriers to delivering high-quality care.

These insights were distilled into a prioritized set of Nursing Sensitive Indicators, clear, clinician-informed problem areas that hospitals consistently face. This framework directly guided Alairo’s technology strategy, driving targeted investments and acquisitions and ultimately shaping the Advanced Systems Group within Lone Star.

As these solutions matured, it became clear that the challenges being solved were not unique to a single integrator or region. Hospitals nationwide were facing the same issues, and other healthcare integrators were working to support them. To better serve this broader market, Alairo was established as a standalone entity, basically an “integrator’s integrator” that is designed to empower hospitals across the country through a growing network of Rauland and other reseller partners.

Today, Alairo is building a strong and collaborative ecosystem of partners, technologies, and services focused on solving healthcare’s biggest challenges, particularly those impacting patient safety, clinical efficiency, and the bedside care experience. Together with our partners, we help hospitals turn insight into action and technology into meaningful outcomes for care teams and patients alike.
